Carkin Lacorazza, Stonehill College	Exiting incarceration and reentering society poses difficulties for many reintegrating peoples. These difficulties exist as collateral consequences, which have a direct impact on their overall quality of life and ability to seamlessly acclimatize to life beyond the walls. We propose an index that quantifies these difficulties through three dimensions: long and healthy living, the ability to earn and make a living, and social freedom. This study offers a new perspective for evaluating the efficacy of reentry efforts and policy and provides an easy-to-understand numerical description of each person's ability to reintegrate into a given state successfully. The paper also offers policy implications such an index could have and suggestions for future research.	2023	/jr3/vol2023/iss1/1/
