"This research paper addresses how interaction with the DeafBlind community can assist student and novice interpreters in their professional development. The literature review is a collection of articles and narratives that display the values within DeafBlind culture and community, Protactile Language, co-navigating skills, and other attributing factors (later referenced as the DeafBlind ecosystem). This collection will be analyzed for patterns that may be beneficial for the targeted groups. These sources come from all branches of the DeafBlind community including teachers, academics, leaders, and students; and connected communities without a DeafBlind identity, such as students, hearing interpreters, and deaf interpreters. This research may assist interpreting students in how they approach accommodations and flexibility within their careers."

"Human perceptions of animal rights are largely controversial and depend on a number of personal and situational factors. Understanding what influences or enhances support for animal welfare will be crucial to expanding support for animals and taking steps to eliminate animal cruelty. This study looked specifically at the effects that different types of animal visuals had on young adult support for animal rights, in both male and female participants. Participants were asked to look at visuals of baby animals, visuals of adult animals, or no visuals before taking the 28-question Animal Rights Scale. Although this study did not find that visuals affected participants’ levels of animal rights support, it was found that males and females varied significantly in their levels of support for animal rights. No interaction was found between visual type, gender, and a difference in support for animal rights. These results suggest that visuals of animals do not affect the support held by either male or female young adults for animal rights. Overall, the results of this study support prior research on gender differences in perceptions of animal rights, but more research is needed to know if visuals can influence the way people feel about animals."

"“Intuition” is a collage that reflects its title, it was created based on pure experimentation and artistic intuition. This digital collage uses photographs taken in spur of the moment trying to capture the beauty found in different parts of the world. It emphasizes many different topics of contrast like man made architecture in contrast to nature through the tall Chicago buildings sitting next to the tiny Oregonian wildflowers. It creates a world of its own where hands covered in paint and flowers are as big as high-rise buildings."
