https://wou.omeka.net/s/repository/item/1900		 Dr. Montana Hopkins Richards Walking Bull Memorial Tree and Plaque 	Undetermined	 Memorials | Montana Walking Bull | New PE Building | Trees on Campus 	 Dr. Montana Hopkins Richards Walking Bull was a humanities professor from 1963-1978, and she was a member of the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma. A nationally recognized scholar and author, she passed away at the age of 74. 

The plaque reads "In memory of Dr. Montana H. R. Walking Bull 1913-1987 Teacher Author Friend '...Like the sacred eagle my spirit roams on this sacred mother earth.'"
