Maurice Ingenuity/New Guinea New Guinea South Pacific WWII Description WWII-Ingenuity/New Guinea. Ink drawing of two men near a water craft; one standing and the other squatting by the engine. Maurice explained this was one of the put-put personal boats made from 50 gallon gasoline drums, from the old aircraft fuel tanks or from the fuselage. Most things were repurposed such as the gas tanks from aircraft. Showers were made with 50 gallons drums. They sliced them in half length wise and use them to brew alcohol beverages.
