Abstract
ABSTRACT This Action Research Project explores culturally responsive teaching practices in secondary choral education. This capstone project explores my teaching philosophy and examines resources for responsibly performing diverse cultural music. Research methods include a survey of my choral music library and my last three years of choral music programming to analyze the diversity of countries, cultures, and languages represented. Findings reveal trends of overrepresented White and Western choral music with opportunities for inclusion in many areas.
