Abstract
-
For this project, I sought to determine the reasons why high school social studies classes typically fail to engage their students, and then determine some of the best strategies for successfully and meaningfully increasing engagement. By consulting existing research on the topic, and conducting surveys within my own high school social studies classroom, I investigated this subject and was able to determine why these classes are so unengaging and how to fix this issue.
