Abstract: Critical pedagogy is a way of teaching and learning that allows people to think critically about society, have an active role in their own learning, and to apply it to the real world. Recent studies suggest that nontraditional students are more likely to accept critical pedagogy in the classroom than traditional students. Interviews with professors and students at a public university also suggest that older students are more likely than younger students to be in favor of critical pedagogy. Students and professors seem to be comfortable with some aspects of critical pedagogy.
