Description
-
Shipboard Drawings - WWII Drawings.
Pencil drawing of serviceman, bundled up with a poncho over his life jacket, sitting near ropes and rigging.
Verso: "October 1944."
Maurice explained that all of these drawings were of men on deck. The ship had been a cruise liner that was stripped inside to add the bunks. There was no air circulation, so they all slept on deck; one stayed in the hole. Maurice.1620.
