Ink drawing of various servicemen and women assembled indoors, sitting and standing among small tables under an open roof with structural beams.
Verso: "8 Feb 45. This is our local Red Cross building at APO 322. The scene was drawn during the Women's Army Corp (WAC) and the G.I.'s. The WAC's did not win but it was close with neither side doing too well. Everyone had fun so that's all that matters."
Maurice added, "This was at the Lae New Guinea Red Cross Club for soldiers; not for officers. "
