Film flips to footage of Senator Kennedy walking along the Oregon coast with wife Ethel, dog Freckles, and Oregon State Treasurer Bob Straub at Fort Stevens State Park near Astoria. The shipwreck of Peter Iredale (1906) can be seen in the background during part of their walk along the beach. The Kennedys visited Oregon before the Oregon Democratic presidential primary.
