Description
Eliza (Butler) Ground discusses the family health, describes the trip to the Oregon Territory, including the lack of timber/wood and berries found along the way, the growth of his gardens and the current harvest. An addendum from Eliza's son William Ground describes the death of four children with whooping cough and two with flux brought by emigrants, but also his overall good health, the mild weather, good crops and the prices for livestock, produce and crops.
